Fishing Reports for Bradenton
Florida Fishing Reports for Bradenton, Anna Maria
Island, Palmetto, Sarasota, and Longboat Key - submitted April 13, 2008
Fishing in West Central Florida is heating up.
The waters around Anna Maria Island and Sarasota Bay, Florida
have warmed up so much in just the last few days that I'm seeing some
outstanding catches on my charter trips.
Nice Snook (26 to 33 inches)
have been slamming pinfish on almost any deep dock we fish during
daylight and sunset hours. With the waters being so warm, we also
recently ventured offshore to check out some of our secret Permit spots
and we hit the jackpot. We approached one of our spots and the permit
were so thick, you could have got out of the boat and walked on them.

Every year in the Tampa Bay region we get these little creatures called
"lovebugs", they basically just smack against your winshield everyday.
But, when they do show up it means Permit and Tarpon should be swimming
around.
After a recent Permit trip, I would officially say it's GO
TIME! If you have ever thought about catching a Permit, keep in mind
that it's wonderful thing.

These bruisers fight extremely hard and
depending upon the wreck or reef you might be fishing, chances are good
that you will get some breakoffs and sore arms. If your interested in a
Permit charter give me a call.
